Terms of Service
Last updated: October 20, 2024
By using my site (SheetHelper) and its Excel/Google Sheets tutorials, you agree to these simple terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Using the Tutorials
What you can do
These tutorials are for learning purposes. You can:
- Read and follow the guides to learn spreadsheet skills
- Save or print individual tutorials for your own use
- Share links to the tutorials (e.g., "Check out this Excel tip: [link]")
What you can't do
Please don't:
- Copy entire tutorials and republish them on your own site/blog
- Sell my tutorials as part of a paid course or ebook
- Change the steps in my guides and share them as "your own" work
- Use the tutorials to do something illegal or harmful
2. Accuracy of Tutorials
I try to make sure all tutorials are correct and easy to follow, but:
- Steps might vary slightly between Excel/Sheets versions (e.g., Excel 2019 vs 365)
- I can't guarantee results—if your data is formatted weirdly, a formula might not work
- Mistakes happen! If you find an error, please tell me via the feedback form so I can fix it
Important: These tutorials are for learning. I'm not responsible if something goes wrong when you follow them (always back up your data first!)
3. Ads and Links
Here's what to know about ads and links on the site:
- Future ads: I might add ads later (probably through Google AdSense) to help pay for site costs. These will be clearly marked as ads.
- Third-party links: I might link to other sites (like Microsoft's Excel help page). I don't control these sites, so check their privacy policies too.
- No endorsements: Just because I link to a site or show an ad doesn't mean I recommend it—I haven't tried every product/service.
4. Your Feedback
When you send feedback (through the form or GitHub), you agree to:
- Be respectful (no mean or offensive messages)
- Send feedback that's related to the site (not spam)
- Let me use your feedback to improve the site (e.g., if you suggest a tutorial topic, I might create it and mention "thanks to a user for the suggestion")
5. Changes to These Terms
I might update these terms if the site changes (like adding new features). When I do, I'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. By using the site after that, you agree to the new terms.
